Job summary

Trillium Staffing in Cheyenne Wells, CO seeks a Journeyman Rigger for a month-long project starting 09/09. You will work with the Crane Operator to perform daily lifting operations and rigging duties.

The role pays $40 per hour, 40 hours/week with a $150 per diem for each day worked. Travel pay is available; duration is 1 month. OSHA 10 and NCCO2/NCCER Gold rigging certs are required.

Qualifications

• Journeyman rigger with NCCO2/NCCER Gold certs.
• OSHA 10 safety training completed.
• Experience in crane-assisted rigging operations is preferred.
• Rigging certification NCCO2 / NCCER Gold is required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and use rigging gear (slings, shackles, chains, hooks, wire rope).
• Rig, balance, secure, and release loads for crane operations.
• Guide materials and equipment during lifting, using signals or radios.
• Perform pre-use inspections and report damaged equipment.
• Maintain a safe work zone and assist with crane setup/breakdown.

Job description

Journeyman Rigger needed for a month-long project in Cheyenne Wells, CO.

Work directly with the Crane Operator to safely execute daily lifting operations.

Starts 09/09, working 5x8
40 hours per week
$40 per hour
$150 daily per diem all 7 days providing no work is missed during scheduled hours
Travel in pay available
Duration of 1 month

Duties

• Inspect, select, and properly use rigging equipment, including slings, shackles, chains, hooks, wire rope, and other lifting accessories.
• Properly rig, balance, secure, and release loads.
• Guide and position materials, machinery, and equipment during crane operations.
• Use proper hand signals and/or radio communication with the Crane Operator.
• Assist with setting and positioning heavy equipment and materials.
• Help determine appropriate rigging methods based on load weight, size, shape, and center of gravity.
• Perform pre-use inspections of rigging equipment and immediately report damaged or defective equipment.
• Maintain a safe work zone around crane operations and ensure personnel remain clear of suspended loads.
• Assist with crane setup and breakdown as needed.
• Follow all OSHA, site-specific, and company safety requirements.
• Maintain good housekeeping around the work area.
• Perform other rigging and material-handling duties as directed by the Site Supervisor.

Requirements

• Journeyman Rigger experience
• Must have Rigging Certification NCCO2 / NCCER Gold
• Must have Construction OSHA 10 / Not General OSHA 10
• OSHA 10 required
