Job summary

Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. is seeking a Rigger for a project in Midland, NC. Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3 months.

The position requires selecting rigging hardware, attaching components to overhead structures, and guiding crane operations to ensure safe handling of loads. Candidates must be able to rig hoisting equipment, splice ropes, and coordinate with crane operators, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Skilled in both written and verbal communication.
• Observe safety and quality processes at all times.

Responsibilities

• Select cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves based on load.
• Attach pulley and blocks to fixed overhead structures with bolts and clamps.
• Attach load with grappling devices to crane hook and guide hoisting operations.
• Provide directions to Crane Operator to ensure safe movement of loads.
• Set up and rig hoisting equipment with hand tools and power wrenches.
• Splice rope and wire cables to make or repair slings and tackle.
• Coordinate movement of equipment according to signals and directions.
• Detect dangerous conditions and respond appropriately.
