Job summary

Rose Associates is seeking a highly motivated Residential Property Handyperson to perform a wide range of maintenance tasks in residential units and common areas. The role focuses on safety, quality workmanship, and responsive resident service in a dynamic property portfolio.

The ideal candidate has handyman experience, safety knowledge, and EPA 608 certification (or ability to obtain). On-site work with occasional after-hours maintenance duties is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; handyman experience preferred.
• Knowledge of safety protocols, building codes and proper use of related tools and machinery.
• EPA 608 Universal certification, S12, S13, S95, P99 or ability to obtain.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Yardi software.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on residential units (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry).
• Address minor HVAC issues and troubleshoot appliances; coordinate with vendors for replacements.
• Paint and drywall repairs to maintain a fresh, appealing appearance.
• Repair and replace flooring; prepare units for apartment turns.
• Be on call for emergencies and respond to out-of-hours maintenance requests.
• Follow OSHA safety requirements and maintain a safe work environment.
