Job summary

Rose Associates is seeking a dependable Handyperson to help maintain the quality, safety, and comfort of our residential community in New York, NY. You will perform routine repairs, assist with apartment turns, and coordinate with vendors for major work while ensuring a high standard of resident service.

You should have a high school diploma or equivalent, hands-on residential maintenance experience, and knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Experience in handyman or residential maintenance is beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, carpentry, and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs in residential apartments (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry).
• Troubleshoot HVAC issues; inspect and repair appliances; coordinate with vendors for major repairs.
• Prepare apartments for new residents during turns and ensure safety compliance.
• Inspect property for safety concerns and address maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain organized maintenance shop and monitor inventory of tools and supplies.
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely, professional manner.
