Job summary

The Salvation Army Silvercrest Residence in Oceanside, CA, is seeking a Building Superintendent to oversee maintenance, repairs, and on-site living responsibilities. The role includes managing HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical tasks, with an on-site apartment option for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years minimum prior experience in general maintenance/custodial work.
• Strong mechanical aptitude including repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry systems.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Manage all repair and maintenance tasks and assist custodial duties.
• Respond to work orders promptly and maintain records.
• Handle apartment turnovers and coordinate with outside vendors for complex repairs.
• Work with Custodian on daily ground inspections and upkeep of building and grounds.
• Provide after-hours on-call support and maintain professional relations with senior residents.
