Job summary

The Salvation Army Oceanside Silvercrest residence is seeking a full-time on-site maintenance technician to manage repair and custodial duties, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks.

Responsibilities include handling work orders, coordinating turnovers, and working with vendors, with after-hours on-call duties. Valid driver’s license required; on-site living option may be available.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years minimum in general maintenance or custodial work.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily tasks and projects.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Manage all repair and maintenance tasks and assist with custodial duties.
• Perform HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
• Receive and respond to work orders promptly and document records.
• Coordinate apartment turnovers and supervise outside vendors as needed.
• Work with the on-site Custodian for daily inspections and upkeep.
• Provide after-hours on-call support and maintain professional relationships with residents.
