Job summary

Valero Wilmington Refinery seeks an Environmental Engineer to support regulatory compliance, reporting, and permitting tasks. You will ensure records are accurate, assist with permits, and coordinate with Engineering and Operations to maintain compliance with environmental regulations.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related Science and at least 2 years of related experience. On-site work at the Wilmington refinery is necessary, with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• On-site work at Valero Wilmington Refinery.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related Science required.
• 2 years of environmental or refinery engineering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits as assigned.
• Prepare and maintain regulatory reports (SARA 313, NSPS, MACT, etc.).
• Maintain records demonstrating compliance and readiness for audits.
• Assist with regulatory permitting tasks as needed.
• Communicate with Engineering and Operations to sustain compliance.
• Read and interpret company policies and regulatory guidance.
• Provide thorough, efficient service to internal stakeholders.
