Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC is seeking an Intern in IXL Application Design Engineering to support the design and development of rail signaling applications. You will gain hands-on experience with CAD tools, logic conversion, and plan design while working with experienced engineers on real-world projects.

The internship offers exposure to industry-standard processes and tools, with on-site work in Grain Valley, Missouri, and opportunities to learn within a high-tech signaling

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD).
• Basic understanding of logic systems and control applications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured instructions.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• CAD Updates: Perform minor revisions to existing plan sets using CAD software.
• CAD Quality Checks: Review and verify engineer markups against final CAD outputs for accuracy and compliance.
• Logic Conversion: Translate VHLC logic into ELIXS logic using structured work instructions.
• Plan Design: Modify typical location plans to meet project requirements.
• Logic Development: Adapt standard logic sets for new locations and basic application logic creation.
