Job summary

KB Signaling Inc. is seeking an IXL Application Design Engineer Intern to support the engineering team in rail signaling applications. You will gain hands-on experience with CAD tools, logic conversion, and plan design while collaborating with experienced engineers on real-world projects.

You will work on translating VHLC logic to ELIXS logic, updating CAD plans, and ensuring accuracy through quality checks, all within a collaborative team environment at KB Signaling in Missouri.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Strong familiarity with CAD software, especially AutoCAD.
• Basic understanding of logic systems and control applications.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow structured instructions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• CAD Updates: perform minor revisions to existing plan sets using CAD software.
• CAD Quality Checks: review engineer markups against final CAD outputs for accuracy.
• Logic Conversion: translate VHLC logic into ELIXS logic per structured work instructions.
• Plan Design: modify location plans to meet project requirements.
• Logic Development: adapt standard logic sets for new locations.
