Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Quality Engineer for our Monroe, Louisiana facility. The role focuses on strengthening quality performance by turning challenges into sustainable improvements, partnering with Engineering, Operations, Production, Customer Service, and Supply Chain.

The ideal candidate has hands-on manufacturing quality experience, takes ownership, and is capable of driving improvements with independence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing quality, quality engineering, or a related technical role within a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years applying root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies to investigate and resolve manufacturing or product quality issues.
• 2+ years working within an ISO 9001 quality management system, including internal audits, corrective actions, or quality-system compliance activities.
• 3+ years analyzing manufacturing or quality data to identify trends, process issues, or improvement opportunities and communicating findings and recommended actions to manufacturing, engineering, or operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations of customer complaints, warranty issues, and internal conformance using structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, PFMEA) and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Support and improve the site's Quality Management System and ensure ISO 9001 compliance.
• Conduct internal process audits and drive timely resolution of findings from audits and certifications.
• Analyze quality, manufacturing, inspection, and warranty data to identify trends and improve operational performance.
• Develop and maintain quality planning and validation documentation (PPAPs, PFMEAs, MSA, Control Plans, CPIs).
• Support process validation and qualification activities (IQ, OQ, PQ).
• Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to develop process controls and improve product quality.
• Provide quality training and promote continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, operational excellence).
