Job summary

The HT Group is assisting a global EPC firm in Taylor, TX to hire a QC Supervisor for mechanical, duct and piping work on a major semiconductor plant project. You will lead on-site quality control, supervise inspections, coordinate with construction teams and subcontractors, and ensure documentation readiness for client review.

Ideal candidates have 5-10 years of MDP quality control experience, a CWI certification, and proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors while upholding ASME and API

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in MDP work and construction quality control.
• Must hold a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
• Working knowledge of ASME, API, and related codes and standards.
• Experience reading drawings and managing multiple subcontractors.
• Proactive, risk-aware mindset with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage MDP inspection progress and verify on-site inspection requests.
• Identify deficiencies, ensure corrective actions, and follow up on non-conformances.
• Provide final confirmation before inspections and monitor inspection fail ratios.
• Own NCR and punch list management and drive preventive actions.
• Oversee quality records, ITPs, procedures, and subcontractor quality activities.
• Perform on-site quality checks of shop work and materials.
• Monitor material storage and approve only compliant materials.
• Inspect incoming materials and subcontractor product quality.
• Coordinate with authorities for City of Taylor inspections.
