Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Director of Quality Assurance for Feed Mills, requiring leadership to maintain Animal Food Safety Programs and regulatory certifications across multiple facilities. The role necessitates on-site presence, coordinating audits, and supplier verification while supporting plant management in compliance with FDA/USDA rules.

Ideal candidates have QA experience, regulatory knowledge, and a Poultry Science or related field degree, with travel up to 30 weeks annually.

Qualifications

• Work related experience in Quality Assurance, Food Safety, FDA and USDA regulation preferred.
• Experience with QA methods and 3rd party certification programs is required.
• Degree in Poultry Science or a food safety related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Animal Food Safety Plans and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain internal audits and 6S-based quality practices across facilities.
• Develop and maintain 3rd party audit-ready programs for complexes.
• Support Supplier Verification and FDA/USDA regulatory updates.
• Lead regulatory compliance efforts and education for mill managers.
