A growing residential property management company in Northern New Jersey is seeking a Controller. This fully on-site role involves overseeing all accounting and financial operations, managing day-to-day accounting across multiple properties, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate should have over 6 years of progressive accounting experience, particularly in residential property or construction, and must have hands-on experience with Yardi. Strong budgeting and forecasting skills are essential, along with a proactive leadership style.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience in residential property or construction.
• Deep understanding of multi-entity accounting, rent rolls, DSCR, and lender reporting.
• Experience working with banks and HUD financing.

Responsibilities

• Manage all day-to-day accounting operations across multiple properties and entities.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes and prepare financial statements.
• Serve as primary contact for banking relationships, including HUD loans.
