Job summary

Barnard Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to support multi-front coordination on heavy civil projects across the United States.

The role involves working with the engineering team, attending meetings, and assisting with project requirements on-site. The ideal candidate will have a four-year engineering degree, strong cost control and scheduling skills, and the ability to coordinate with field personnel, subcontractors, and consultants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university is required
• Experience with heavy civil construction projects is required
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are needed

Responsibilities

• Involve in cost control system operations and analysis of construction costs
• Participate in monthly forecasting revenue and costs accruals
• Prepare monthly pay estimates and manage change orders
• Coordinate shop drawings, submittals, and schedules with project team
• Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and materials suppliers
• Support project scheduling and field coordination with foremen and crews
• Attend meetings and prepare technical reports and correspondence
• Liaise with subcontractors, consultants, and field personnel
