Job summary

Allan Myers is seeking a Project Engineer to join our heavy civil construction team in Virginia. You will collaborate with the Project Team to plan and support assigned construction engineering projects and ensure progress toward deadlines.

We provide training and resources to develop your skills, with an on-site role based from the regional office. You will engage in plans, drawings, RFI/Submittal management, safety, and cost controls to contribute to project success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a construction management or engineering role; heavy civil experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, related major, or equivalent.
• OSHA 30-hour certification is required.
• FE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop plans and schedules with the Project Manager and Superintendent to meet project goals.
• Interpret drawings, specifications and technical info for the Project Team, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure compliance.
• Identify, order and coordinate delivery of permanent materials with the Project Team and Purchasing.
• Manage the RFI and submittal process including project control logs in CMiC.
• Process owner billings and project-related accounting tasks.
• Assist Project Manager with Change Orders and related documentation.
• Monitor safety for all work and maintain project safety files; review schedule for safety measures.
