Job summary

Alston Construction in the United States seeks an estimating/preconstruction assistant to support bidding, scheduling, cost control, and coordination with project teams. The role contributes to safe, on-time, and on-budget project delivery while strengthening client relationships.

The candidate will assist Project Managers, Superintendents, and Estimating staff, with documentation, proposal development, and field coordination, traveling as required to project sites.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field; experience managing construction projects for a general contractor.
• Design-build experience on relevant project types.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Review contract documents for compliance and scope; review design/docs for specification conformance.
• Assist Project Manager/Superintendent with timelines, budgets, staffing, and schedules.
• Help Estimating/Preconstruction with ITBs, trade proposals, take-offs, and estimates.
• Assist Superintendent with job-site startup, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, daily reports, and safety logs.
• Support monthly payment applications, cost breakdowns, RFIs, and close-out activities.
• Uphold safety policies and contribute to the company’s safety culture.
