Job summary

Lane Construction seeks an experienced on-site Construction Engineer to plan, coordinate, and manage daily field activities with subcontractors in Charleston, SC. A Bachelor's Degree and at least 5 years in heavy civil construction are required, with strong scheduling, procurement, and cost-control skills.

You will prepare monthly pay estimates, update project budgets and change orders, lead weekly meetings, and maintain document control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of engineering experience in heavy civil construction.
• Experience in on-site construction management and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and manages on-site construction engineering daily activities and schedules and communicates with subcontractors.
• Prepares monthly Owner pay estimates, reviews subcontractor pay requests after updating the Project CPM schedule.
• Prepares and updates job budgets, change orders and cost reports for Project Director's/Manager's review and approval.
• Prepares and leads weekly staff and regular review meetings.
• Manages project document control procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
