Job summary

GrayWolf Integrated Construction Company in Hallsville, TX seeks a detail-oriented Project Controls Engineer (Scheduler) to support on-site field operations. You will drive schedule performance, support productivity planning, and provide accurate reporting to internal teams and clients.

The ideal candidate has strong scheduling (P6) expertise, field coordination skills, and the ability to mitigate schedule risks on complex industrial projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of scheduling/project controls on US heavy industrial construction projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, interpret work plans and use inventory tracking software.
• Strong understanding of US construction methods, field operations, and scheduling best practices.
• OSHA 10/30 preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Lead 3-week lookahead planning sessions with superintendents, general foremen, and engineers.
• Track and forecast labor requirements and resource usage throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain and verify quantity tracking and input into project budget systems.
• Provide accurate, timely reporting to internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Support the Project Manager with schedule-based cash flow projections, forecasting, and invoicing.
• Facilitate subcontractor pre-mobilization meetings to ensure schedule alignment.
• Lead weekly subcontractor coordination and progress review meetings.
• Identify schedule acceleration opportunities and productivity improvement initiatives.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and report on schedule deviations.
• Participation in safety program and related activities as required.
• Must be able to work variable hours including weekends and holidays.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
