Job summary

The J. M. Smucker Co. seeks a Production Supervisor to drive production efficiency while preserving product quality and GMP compliance.

This role on the Hostess Bakery site in Columbus requires coaching a team on the 6pm–6am PM shift, with willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. You will monitor safety, quality, and continuous improvement on the production floor. The successful candidate will lead daily activities, investigate root causes of issues, and partner with HR,

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ year of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Working knowledge of computer software programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and SAP is required.

Responsibilities

• Coach and influence employees under supervision.
• Train and motivate employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
• Direct daily activities and long-term objectives of the department in conjunction with managers across shifts or departments.
• Conduct investigations to identify and eliminate root causes of manufacturing problems.
• Work with HR, Quality and Maintenance to resolve issues.
• Ensure staff follows work rules and GMP compliance at all times.
• Deliver quality products through continuous improvement.
