Job summary

ARC Abrasives, Inc. is seeking a Process Technician in Troy, Ohio (On-Site) to optimize manufacturing processes and equipment. The role focuses on safety, quality, and productivity on the shop floor, with cross-functional collaboration across Production, Quality, and Maintenance.

The ideal candidate has hands-on manufacturing experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a background in maintenance, with exposure to PLC/HMI programming being a plus.

Qualifications

• 5 years of manufacturing maintenance or relevant technical training.
• Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of quality control methods, safety procedures, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement; Lean knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and analyze production data.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and improvement of new and existing processes and equipment; ensure safe operation.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues; collaborate with Quality and Maintenance on root-cause analysis.
• Audit machine settings and develop in-process quality checks to meet ARC KPIs.
• Maintain operator preventive maintenance standards and support changeovers and spare-parts management.
• Train operators on new equipment and processes, including setup and safety.
• Maintain and improve SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation.
