Pulse Vascular in Millville, NJ is seeking an experienced Prior Authorization Specialist for a full-time, on-site role. You will manage authorizations for diagnostics, procedures, and visits, verify benefits, and coordinate with providers and payers to prevent delays in care.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in prior authorizations and strong knowledge of ICD-10/CPT, with excellent organization and communication skills for handling multiple requests efficiently.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with testing and/or procedure prior authorizations and insurance verification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of direct procedure prior authorization experience required.
• Strong working knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT codes.
• Strong understanding of insurance guidelines and prior authorization processes.
• Experience navigating multiple insurance payer portals and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, track, and complete prior authorization requests for diagnostic testing, procedures, treatments, office visits, and other medical services.
• Verify patient insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits prior to submitting authorization requests.
• Communicate authorization status, approvals, denials, and outstanding requirements to the appropriate teams.
• Review denials to determine appeal options and submit appeals with supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of authorization requests, approvals, denials, and communications within the EHR.
