Job summary

CNH Industrial is seeking a skilled Welder for our Grand Island, Nebraska site. You will weld metal components per layouts and procedures, using electric wire feed equipment and oxy/acetylene torch, while ensuring accuracy and leak-proof seams.

The role requires at least 1 year of manufacturing experience and/or a welding certificate/degree. This is a full-time, on-site position with potential overtime, located in Grand Island, NE.

Qualifications

• 1 year of manufacturing expereince and/or a cerficiate/degree in welding
• Welding procedures and blueprints reading
• Ability to identify tools and fixtures by part number

Responsibilities

• Welds metal components as per layout and route sheet using welding equipment.
• Selects welding fixtures and positioners from storage per route sheet.
• Weld beads to meet specifications and leak-proof seams when required.
• Adjusts amperage and voltage for quality welds at maximum speed.
• Ensures accurate angular, dimensional and spatial relationships in fixtures.
• Strikes arc and deposits metal from electrode to work piece.
• Guides welding torch along weld line maintaining arc length and speed.
• Welds in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions.
• Cleans or degreases weld joints with brushes, grinders or chemicals.
• May cut metal using oxy/acetylene torch.
• Overtime or Saturday work may be required.
