Job summary

MindCare Solutions is seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team on a Part-Time basis. The clinician will conduct rounds in a hospital, perform ED and IP consults, and collaborate with the care team to deliver high-quality psychiatric care.

The ideal candidate holds a PMHNP degree, TX license, PMHNP-BC certification, and DEA registration, with 1+ year hospital or acute care experience. Part-time, weekdays with on-site location.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with PMHNP specialization.
• TX PMHNP license (unrestricted).
• Board certification as PMHNP-BC.
• Minimum 1 year PMHNP experience; hospital/acute care preferred.
• Active DEA license in TX.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric assessments and treatment plans for BHU/Med Surg patients.
• Develop individualized treatment plans including meds and therapy options.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for quality psychiatric care.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications as needed.
• Perform daily rounds in one hospital and communicate with the care team.
• Respond to ED and IP consultations with expert assessments and recommendations.
• Monitor and adjust medications to optimize outcomes and minimize side effects.
• Provide education and support to residents and families about mental health options.
• Promote mental health awareness and wellness within the facility.
• Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with standards.
• Document assessments and interventions thoroughly and timely.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance services.
