Memorial Health is seeking a dedicated phlebotomy tech and lab assistant for on-site work in Springfield, IL. You will collect samples from patients of all ages, prepare specimens, and assist with routine diagnostic tests under a technologist's supervision.

Requirements include a high school diploma, phlebotomy training (preferred), CPR by week one, and basic computer skills. Compensation is competitive with benefits; experience with CLIA-waived tests is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Completion of a phlebotomy course preferred.
• Certification for breath alcohol testing and drug screening preferred.
• CPR certification required by end of first week of employment.
• Previous computer experience required.
• Previous phlebotomy skills preferred.

Responsabilités

• Complies with federal guidelines and clinic policies including laboratory, drug and alcohol testing.
• Assists with diagnostic testing: obtaining/preparing specimens, labeling, and communicating results.
• Performs CLIA-waived testing and may operate EKGs, pulse oximetry, and monitor placement.
• Maintains documentation for quality processes and supports department equipment care.
• Contributes to clinic goals, patient satisfaction, and teamwork.
