Job summary

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted license in OK.
• Doctor of Pharmacy degree is required.
• Experience with compounding infused drugs.
• Proven record of evaluating and monitoring drug therapies for home care patients.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Participation and membership in professional societies and organizations is desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Shift requirements: 9:00am - 4:00pm M-F.

Responsibilities

• Accept and dispense prescription medications.
• Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns.
• Ensure that the supply of medicines is within the law.
• Ensure that the medicines prescribed to patients are suitable.
• Accurately maintain confidential records of all patients and manage pharmacy records.
• Advise patients about medicines and potential side effects.
• Provide consultations on prescription and non-prescription medications.
• Offer services such as smoking cessation, blood pressure measurement and cholesterol management.
• Educate patients on handling medical devices and proper usage of devices.
• Compound medications for external or internal use.
• Prepare sterile solutions following proper procedures.
• Supervise pharmacy staff members.
• Maintain appropriate inventory on pharmaceutical supplies.
• Identify patient drug-related problems and collaborate with physicians.
• Work with physicians, nurses, other pharmacists, and interns.
