Job summary

Marion County is seeking a dedicated professional to perform technical analysis and valuation of assessable personal property in accordance with Oregon statutes. You will review confidential data, resolve discrepancies, and communicate findings to taxpayers and business representatives.

The role requires knowledge of property assessment processes, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work under supervision within an office setting. This full-time position is on-site with no remote option.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting, real estate or related field.
• One year of technical/appraisal/analysis experience or related fiscal management experience.
• Any satisfactory combination of work, education, training, or experience considered by Marion County.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical analysis and valuation functions per Oregon statutes and county policies.
• Review and process confidential property returns and ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Use Excel and assessment systems to organize and analyze data and verify calculations.
• Prepare correspondence and maintain procedures related to personal property processes.
