Magellan Health, Inc. is seeking a Personal Financial Counselor for on-site duty in the Virgin Islands. The role focuses on delivering comprehensive personal financial counseling to service members and their families at military installations.

Responsibilities include budgeting support, education through classes/workshops, and coordinating with DoD and POC to ensure program scope and needs are met. A bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in financial counseling are required, with DoD clearance possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizen and fluent in English.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish may be required per contract.
• Able to obtain a favorable DoD security clearance (Tier 2).
• Certified AFC, CFP, or ChFC are required or highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal financial counseling and management services to service members and their families.
• Assists in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
• Develops and distributes informational financial materials for service members and families.
• Coordinates and delivers Personal Financial Management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle.
• Utilizes virtual counseling methods (web chat, video, secure online platforms) when needed.
• Adheres to DoD protocol and communicates trends to leadership.
