Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a PC Network Support Technician to join the CIDO Classified Solutions team in Melbourne, FL. The role requires on-site, full-time work and a Secret security clearance.

The specialist will manage tickets, relocate and configure PCs, and provide tier-appropriate technical support for hardware, software, and network systems. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with Active Directory, remote deployment, and VMWare VDI environments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years of relevant experience; OR an Associate’s degree and 0 years of relevant experience
• Must have a Security+ certification or greater
• Current DOD Secret level security clearance (at a minimum) to be considered
• Ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Programs
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Desktop Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Product Suites, and remote deployment methods

Responsibilities

• Creates and manages tickets for all support incidents with timely updates and documentation
• Relocates workstations and equipment between campus buildings, reinstalling and configuring as needed
• Provides basic diagnostics and identifies and analyzes problems from historical records
• Resolves technical problems and answers queries for hardware, software, network and telecom systems
• Uses Active Directory to create/unlock user accounts and perform password resets
• Assists with security paperwork and adheres to security regulations for hardware/software retirement
• Maintains inventory records for hardware assets and updates status of deployed equipment
• Participates in new installations, testing and special projects
• Spends significant time away from desk supporting users and moving equipment
• Lifts and moves equipment up to 50 pounds
