Job summary

RD Nutrition Consultants LLC is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian to support a PACE program in Sherman Oaks, California. This on-site role offers 24–32 hours per week and weekday hours, with compensation of $40–$45 per hour based on experience.

Travel time is paid at the hourly rate, and the position emphasizes comprehensive nutrition assessments, care planning, counseling, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes for older adults.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related accredited field.
• Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Current state licensure/certification, if mandated by the state.
• Minimum of one year of clinical nutrition experience preferred.
• Experience with geriatric populations or PACE programs preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and documentation systems.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.
• Comfortable working on-site Monday–Friday during normal business hours.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and follow-up evaluations for PACE participants.
• Develop individualized nutrition care plans based on medical conditions and needs.
• Provide nutrition counseling and education to participants, caregivers, and family members.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, social workers, therapists, and other members of the care team.
• Monitor progress and modify nutrition interventions as appropriate.
• Identify and monitor participants at nutritional risk.
• Provide recommendations for therapeutic diets and oral nutrition supplements.
• Complete timely documentation in the EMR.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning.
• Assist with coordination of nutrition services and participant care as needed.
