Job summary

SmartStop Self Storage in Ladera Ranch, CA, seeks a Paralegal to support the legal team and real estate acquisition activities from contract to close. The role is 100% on-site in our corporate office.

The ideal candidate has an Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred) with 3+ years in legal support, especially in real estate transactions. Competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Requires an associates degree; bachelor’s preferred.
• Paralegal certificate preferred.
• Minimum 3 years legal secretary experience; real estate transaction experience is a big plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of legal language and principles; confidentiality is essential.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.

Responsibilities

• Meet with attorneys and professionals to coordinate a pipeline of real estate transactions.
• Prepare real estate transaction documents for accuracy and completion.
• Facilitate and manage execution of real estate, commercial and operational agreements.
• Schedule all conferences and meetings.
• Assist with preparation, review, and modification of legal documents and filings.
• Support active litigation and insurance matters with internal and external counsel as needed.
• Maintain trackers and generate reports on follow-up items and deadlines.
• Organize and archive legal and real estate documents for easy retrieval.
