Job summary

Sargent Metal is seeking a Paint Inspection & Packaging Technician responsible for final visual inspections of painted parts, ensuring they meet quality standards and customer specifications. The role also verifies part quantities, processes completed work in the ERP system, and prepares parts for shipment.

You will package finished products, label for shipment, maintain production records, and uphold 5S and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality, as well as organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills with the ability to learn and use an ERP system.
• Ability to accurately count and verify quantities.

Responsibilities

• Perform final visual inspections of painted parts for appearance, finish quality, and workmanship.
• Verify parts meet customer specifications and internal quality standards.
• Identify and separate nonconforming parts and notify the appropriate personnel of quality concerns.
• Count finished parts to verify production quantities and customer order requirements.
• Process completed jobs through the ERP system accurately and in a timely manner.
• Approve acceptable parts for release to the Shipping Department.
• Package finished products according to customer specifications and company packaging standards.
• Label packages and prepare parts for shipment.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
• Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with 5S and safety standards.
