Job summary

Rhino Tool House is seeking an experienced Overhead Crane Field Service Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting devices at customer facilities. This role requires strong technical aptitude, thorough documentation, and professional customer interaction.

Responsibilities include on-site repairs, extensive troubleshooting across electrical and mechanical systems, and after-hours availability to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; crane training preferred.
• Experience in crane maintenance and safety standards required.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Ability to document work clearly and communicate with customers.
• Willingness to work varied hours, including potential after-hours support.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site repairs and preventive maintenance on overhead cranes and hoists.
• Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, mechanical and structural issues; determine root cause.
• Complete service reports, time tickets and sales lead forms accurately.
• Maintain stock levels of parts and ensure proper documentation on service vehicle.
• Communicate with customers to review repairs and obtain acceptance signatures.
