Job summary

University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks adjunct faculty to teach on-site in San Antonio, Texas, in the Operations program. Courses include Data, Cybersecurity, and AI in Business Strategy (BMGT 250) and Operations Management (OPMG 300), among others.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree in Operations Management or a related field, with professional experience and the ability to teach adult learners in higher education.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
• Professional experience in Operations Management or Supply Chain.
• Experience teaching adult learners in higher education is strongly preferred.
• On-site teaching in San Antonio, Texas.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage students through frequent interaction that motivates them to succeed, and convey a genuine energy and enthusiasm for their learning.
• Guide students in active collaboration and the application of their learning in problem‑ and project‑based learning demonstrations.
• Provide rich and regular constructive feedback, utilizing rubrics effectively for the assessment of student work, and acknowledging student accomplishments.
• Demonstrate relevant and current subject‑matter expertise, and help students connect concepts across their academic program.
• Provide feedback to your program chair on possible curricular improvements.
