Job summary

UMGC in San Antonio, Texas seeks an Adjunct Faculty member to teach Operations Management and related courses on-site. Courses include BMGT 250, OPMG 300, OPMG 310, OPMG 320, and OPMG 340 with emphasis on analytics, sustainability, and supply chain.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in a relevant field and experience teaching adult learners in higher education, with an orientation toward practical application and student engagement. A two-week online orientation is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Professional experience in Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education is strongly preferred.
• This position is designated to teach on-site in San Antonio, Texas.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage students through frequent interaction that motivates them to succeed, and conveys enthusiasm for their learning.
• Guide students in active collaboration and problem- and project-based learning demonstrations.
• Provide rich and regular constructive feedback using rubrics for assessment of student work.
• Demonstrate current subject-matter expertise and help students connect concepts across their program.
• Provide feedback to the program chair on curricular improvements.
