Job summary

Clean Harbors in La Place, LA is seeking an Operations Intern for the Summer 2027 Industrial Services Internship Program. This on-site internship provides hands-on experience in daily operations, administrative coordination, and supporting field teams.

Starting May 17th or May 24th, 2027, interns will work on-site with the Operations Manager. Travel to field locations is required to gain firsthand experience in operational planning and business administration.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree or certificate in Business Administration, Business Management, Operations Management, or Engineering.
• Strong interest in business operations and the Environmental and Industrial Services industry.
• Willingness and ability to travel to field locations and job sites as required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Support travel arrangements, including scheduling transportation, lodging, and other travel-related needs.
• Assist with coordinating employee training, scheduling, and tracking training requirements.
• Provide administrative support, including maintaining records, preparing reports, and organizing operational documents.
• Travel to field locations and job sites to gain hands-on exposure to Industrial Services operations and support operational activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and operational efficiency.
• Participate in Clean Harbors Internship Program networking and professional development activities.
• Complete and present a final internship project at the conclusion of the program.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
