Job summary

Herzing University seeks highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurses to serve as on-site Clinical Instructors at Bon Secours Mercy Health and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati.

Instructors supervise nursing students during clinical rotations, ensuring alignment with the university curriculum and patient care standards. Flexible rotations include leadership in the P.R.I.C.E model and collaboration with hospital staff.

Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered RN license for the state of Ohio.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a registered nurse in a relevant clinical setting.
• Master's degree in Nursing (MSN).
• Experience in clinical teaching or precepting nursing students preferred.
• Preferably nurses with med surg, OB, and/or mental health specialties.

Responsibilities

• Direct student supervision: Provide on-site supervision and guidance to Herzing University nursing students during clinical rotations at BSMH and CCHMC.
• Curriculum alignment: Ensure student clinical experiences align with the Herzing University nursing curriculum and learning objectives.
• Skill development: Facilitate development of students' clinical skills through observation and hands-on instruction.
• Performance evaluation: Evaluate student performance and provide feedback; submit evaluations to Herzing University.
