Job summary

Talen Energy is seeking a Sr. Analyst in Business Operations to support the Susquehanna Station near Berwick, PA. The role involves collecting data, budgeting, and forecasting for O&M and Capital projects.

You will analyze financial data, prepare monthly forecasts, and generate routine reports to explain variances. A strong Excel skillset, 5+ years of experience, and the ability to obtain nuclear site clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Business required.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting, forecasting and business planning experience.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel with advanced data manipulation and reporting skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance for a nuclear plant environment.

Responsibilities

• Assists in collection and consolidation of data to support the annual Department budget including Major Projects.
• Performs analysis of financial data and prepares monthly forecasts for station O&M and Capital.
• Uses accounting systems to identify, investigate and analyze accounting issues and their impact to the overall budget; reconciles issues.
• Develops routine financial reports to explain budget/forecast variances.
• Develops monthly forecasts for O&M and Capital for station reporting.
• Records, classifies, and summarizes financial transactions; researches and prepares special reports for corporate and management.
• Participates in the Nuclear Emergency Response Organization.
• Willingness to work non-traditional schedule and/or overtime to meet deadlines.
