Job summary

Talen Energy is seeking a Sr. Analyst in Business Operations for the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station near Berwick, PA. The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis within a high-demand nuclear environment.

Candidate will consolidate data, build forecasts for O&M and Capital, and prepare reports for executives. Requires at least 5 years of related experience, a relevant bachelor's degree, and Excel expertise; willingness to work non-traditional hours and support NERO

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Statistics, Finance, or Business.
Minimum 5 years of related experience.
Strong proficiency in MS Excel with Pivot tables and macros.

Responsibilities

Assist in collecting and consolidating data to support the annual Department budget including Major Projects.
Analyze financial data and prepare monthly forecasts for station O&M and Capital.
Use accounting systems to identify, investigate and analyze accounting issues and their impact to the budget; reconcile issues.
Develop routine financial reports to explain budget/forecast variances.
Develop monthly forecasts for O&M and Capital for station reporting.
Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions; prepare special reports for Corporate, Susquehanna executives and management.
Participate in the Nuclear Emergency Response Organization; be available for on-call rotations.
Willingness to work non-traditional schedules and overtime to meet deadlines.
