Job summary

Providence Staffing in Mobile, AL is seeking an experienced Network Technician to support the client’s network infrastructure. You will maintain switches, wireless access points, and related devices, troubleshoot connectivity, and support users in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires an Associate degree or 2 years of relevant experience, with Microsoft and Cisco certifications preferred and Windows Server 2012/2016 experience strongly preferred. Office-based with some fieldwork may apply.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Computer Technology or two years of relevant network experience.
• Microsoft and Cisco certifications preferred.
• Experience in Windows Server 2012/2016 domain environments strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement plans for upgrading and replacing computer hardware and software.
• Maintain full network infrastructure, including switches, wireless access points, UPS units, and related devices.
• Diagnose and repair network hardware; identify hardware vs. software issues through testing and troubleshooting.
• Monitor and troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity.
• Perform network, hardware, and software maintenance, updates, and upgrades.
• Monitor and support wireless networks.
• Ensure all work complies with policies, procedures, codes, standards, and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with and take direction from the Network Manager.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
