Job summary

Omm IT Solutions seeks a Network Engineer II to join our Woodlawn, MD team, focusing on enterprise wireless LAN and multi-service networking for a large government customer.

This on-site role requires the engineer to work in Woodlawn, with potential 25%–50% travel to domestic locations and possible shift to 5 days in the office if required by the customer. A strong Cisco background including CCNP and ISE is preferred.

Qualifications

• Masters with 3 years of experience or Bachelor's or Higher with 5 years of experience or Associates with 7 years of experience or High School/GED with 9 years of experience
• Requires 5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD
• Cisco Certified Network Engineer must possess a CCNP or equivalent level of Cisco certification
• Certification or CCNP with Wireless LAN Specialist or Cisco 300-715 SISE
• Minimum three years of hands-on network experience configuring routing protocols and switching

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain enterprise wireless LAN network infrastructure
• Analyze current wireless LAN configurations and determine implementation requirements
• Configure routing protocols and complex switch networks
• Prepare network equipment for deployment per engineered design templates
• Monitor for opportunities to enhance customer network performance and reliability
• Provide third-level support and troubleshooting of network problems
