Job summary

NDOT Information Technology Division is recruiting for an IT Professional 2 - Network Engineer in Carson City or Las Vegas. This role performs journey-level network administration, supports NDOT's statewide network, and collaborates with IT leadership and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include planning, implementing, monitoring, documenting, troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise network services. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S., on-site with no remote option.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, or closely related field with two years of professional IT experience.
• Or two years of experience as an IT Professional I in Nevada State service.
• Or four years of relevant technical experience as an IT Technician IV or above in Nevada State service.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, monitor, document, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise network services.
• Support statewide LAN/WAN environments and collaborate with IT leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and business customers; manage change, incident response, and documentation.
