Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing, based in Salina, KS, is seeking a Network Administrator to design, implement, and support our LAN/WAN infrastructure. This on-site role requires 3+ years of network administration experience and will involve coordinating with IT teams and vendors.

Work hours are typical M-F, located in Salina, with some travel to other Kansas facilities. On-site only; remote work is not available. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in network administration, engineering, or infrastructure support.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience with LAN/WAN, switching, routing, wireless networking, and VPN technologies.
• Ability to document network configurations, procedures, diagrams, and incident resolutions.
• Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design, evaluate, and maintain network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, wireless, segmentation, and security zones.
• Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to plan updates, migrations, maintenance windows, and downtime events.
• Coordinate with ISPs and vendors on circuit upgrades, service issues, and hardware maintenance.
• Plan, test, and implement firmware and software updates for network devices.
• Administer and support network monitoring tools to ensure visibility into system health, performance, capacity, and availability.
• Provide technical support for local and wide area network services.
