Job summary

Socket.dev seeks an experienced Construction Manager to provide independent support to NAVFAC OICC/FEAD and ROICC on-site on a full-time basis. Projects range widely in type and size, from office buildings to large-scale facilities, with contract values from $5M to $400M+.

The role includes cost reviews, change proposals, and assisting with negotiations. You will coordinate meetings, review RFIs and submittals, and ensure quality control and documentation throughout all project phases.

Qualifications

• Five years of recent experience as Construction Manager, Project Manager, or related role on DoD construction projects over $4M.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Professional certifications (PE/RA/CCM/PMP) are desirable but not required.
• US citizenship or eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Furnish documentation showing contract conformity and participate in cost reviews and change proposals.
• Administer technical aspects of contract modifications and prepare modification packages.
• Schedule and document regular progress meetings with all stakeholders.
• Review RFIs, submittals, and costs; assist in negotiations and contractor communications.
• Monitor construction progress for compliance with plans and specifications.
• Coordinate operations among contractors, site staff, and government agencies.
• Maintain project files in the NAVFAC-era management systems.
