The City of Laguna Beach is seeking an Accounting Technician in the Finance Department to join the team at City Hall. The position focuses on cashiering, accounts payable, and customer service, including processing parking permits and handling cash receipts.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate has strong customer service and clerical skills in a municipal setting.
• Experience with basic accounting, cash handling, and accounts payable is preferred.
• Possession of a California driver's license may be required.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service at the front counter and by phone/email, assisting with inquiries and parking permits.
• Balance and process cash receipts through the City's accounting system with accuracy.
• Process accounts payable including coding, approvals, and policy/budget compliance.
• Work with vendors and City departments to resolve accounts payable issues.
• Provide administrative support to the Finance Department as assigned.
