Job summary

Ledcor is seeking a Superintendent for its Mining team to provide frontline leadership for large-scale mining and earthworks operations. You will oversee mining crews and equipment fleets, coordinate daily production plans, monitor output, and ensure all activities align with mine plans, operating procedures, schedules, and cost objectives.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of supervisory experience in mining operations or large-scale earthworks.
• Proven ability to manage production schedules and adjust plans based on conditions.
• Strong problem-solving skills with practical, safe solutions.
• Highly effective communicator with operators, engineers, clients and leadership.
• Collaborative leader building teamwork, accountability and safety culture.
• Willingness to travel and remain on site for mine projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mining and earthworks operations, ensuring compliance with plans, safety standards and policies.
• Maintain high performance while optimizing equipment, labor and materials.
• Enforce safety protocols meeting mining requirements.
• Monitor and update production schedules to meet targets.
• Review invoices for accuracy and report discrepancies.
• Hire and manage hourly mine-site employees with the Project Manager.
• Prepare production changes or scope modifications with clients.
• Lead planning meetings to ensure equipment readiness and continuity.
