Job summary

Ledcor is seeking a Superintendent for its Mining team to provide frontline leadership for large-scale mining and earthworks operations on site. You will oversee crews and equipment fleets, coordinate production plans, monitor output, and ensure alignment with mine plans and cost objectives.

You will drive production strategies, optimize work methods, troubleshoot field issues, and foster strong client and team relationships to maintain a collaborative, safety-focused work environment.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of supervisory experience in mining operations or large-scale earthworks.
• Proven ability to manage production schedules and adjust plans as needed.
• Strong problem-solving skills with practical, safe solutions.
• Highly effective communicator across operators, engineers, clients, and leadership.
• Collaborative leader building teamwork and safety culture.
• Willingness to travel and stay on site for project duration.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mining and earthworks operations, ensuring compliance with mine plans and safety standards.
• Optimize equipment utilization, labor efficiency, and material resources.
• Enforce site safety protocols meeting corporate, client, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor, analyze, and update production schedules to meet targets.
• Review invoices from suppliers/subcontractors for accuracy.
• Hire and manage hourly mine-site employees with the Project Manager.
• Process production changes or scope modifications with client representatives.
• Lead planning meetings to ensure equipment readiness and operational continuity.
