Job summary

Cherokee Federal is seeking a Physician to perform comprehensive medical evaluations for MEPS applicants at on-site locations including Buffalo, NY. The role requires US citizenship, CAC eligibility, and the ability to pass DoD clearance.

Responsibilities include medical history reviews, physical examinations, test interpretation, and coordination with consultants. The physician will ensure compliance with OSHA and Privacy Act standards and maintain accurate documentation in USMEPCOM databases.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from US/Canada or equivalent with proper accreditation.
• Current, active medical license in the US.

Responsibilities

• Ensure OSHA and Privacy Act compliance; coordinate with DoD standards and USMEPCOM.
• Review medical records, histories, and exams; interpret tests and identify disqualifying conditions.
• Inform applicants of abnormal findings and update medical staff for MEPS databases.

Education

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)

Active US medical license

CAC/PIV eligibility
