Job summary

Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa subsidiary, is hiring a Fitter/Welder for the Fort Worth, TX plant. You will use jigs and fixtures to lay out pieces, set up and operate welding equipment, and MIG weld structural steel per blueprints and work orders.

Schedule is Mon-Fri 4pm-2:30am, with Saturdays as production requires. Equal Opportunity Employer; safety is emphasized in every task.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year welding experience or successful completion of weld training
• Flux or metal core welding experience preferred
• Ability to read blueprints and layouts
• Strong dependability and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Observe safety rules and practices
• Lay out and cut complex subassemblies or final product
• Fit and complete final welds and multi-pass welds
• Position pieces in jigs using measuring tools
• Maintain records and support safety initiatives
• Train other employees on new tasks as needed
