Job summary

BlackRock Resources, LLC is seeking an experienced MEP (Central Utility Plant) Superintendent for a large-scale construction project in Boise, ID. You will lead field activities, supervise trade contractors, and drive coordination across multiple disciplines to keep the project on schedule.

The role requires 10+ years in construction, a relevant engineering/CM degree, and proven ability to manage large field teams while prioritizing safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction industry experience including project management and large workforce.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• Experience managing large, complex construction projects.
• Strong technical knowledge in MEP or central utility plant environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide field supervision and leadership for trade contractors and construction management personnel.
• Coordinate MEP/CUP construction activities across multiple disciplines and workstreams.
• Manage site logistics, including staging areas, security, and coordination.
• Build strong working relationships with trade management, site managers, supervisors, and craft personnel.
• Drive contractor safety performance and foster a safety-first culture.
• Resolve field-level conflicts and remove roadblocks impacting progress.
• Lead daily field communication, including meetings and briefings.
• Ensure effective communication between construction management, trade leadership, and field personnel.
• Monitor contractor compliance with site protocols and client requirements.
• Oversee micro-schedules and ensure updates are timely.
• Coordinate field-driven changes to minimize schedule impacts.
• Oversee the RFI process and coordinate with design/engineering teams.
• Lead weekly site observation walks and report findings to stakeholders.
