Qualifications

• 2+ years of medical billing and accounts receivable experience.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare billing processes and regulations.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work.
• Empathetic and professional demeanor with patients and payers.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and submits medical claims to insurance companies.
• Determines appropriate charges based on services provided.
• Reviews patient accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of claims billing for maximum reimbursement.
• Investigates and appeals denied claims.
• Provides information to insurance carriers or patients regarding patient accounts.
• Assist patients with billing problems.
• Reviews and works aging A/R and claims on hold.
• Provide and coordinate medical records as necessary.
• Follow HIPAA, State and Federal regulations.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
